Travel

The Century Room is located on the second floor of Pack’s Tavern in downtown Asheville. If your GPS has got you headed there, you’re going in the right direction!

Click here to view a map of recommended parking locations. These are also handy for any downtown exploring you want to do before or after the party!

Please Note: This venue is in the center of downtown Asheville, so traffic is common. We would recommend using Uber, Lyft, or another rideshare service, if possible.

You can get to the Century Room through Pack’s Tavern. Head in the door, make an immediate right, and follow the signs up the stairs.

Struggling to find it? Ask a host or waiter and they can point you in the direction!

Need an elevator? Head straight past the bar in Pack’s Tavern and grab the elevator by the bathrooms. The “Floor 2” button will take you straight there!

Q + A

What should I wear? We recommend semi-formal attire, but wear whatever makes you comfortable. Just keep in mind we’re taking pictures, so be sure your outfit is fly enough to catalog for a lifetime!

Should I bring a mask? Yes. Buncombe County mandates masks inside all establishments. You do not need to wear a mask during the wedding, but you will be required to put one on as you walk through Pack’s Tavern on your way to the Century Room.

However, please note that we have several attendees who are pregnant and / or immunocompromised. If you are still unvaccinated, we request that you please wear a mask in the event space in order to keep our loved ones safe.

Will we be in or outside? Inside! Mountain weather can be unpredictable, so we elected to host the wedding indoors and avoid any kind of indoor / outdoor contingency plan. If you’re looking to take in the beautiful views, check out our hike and hang recommendations.

Will there be an open bar? Yes. There will be a full-service bar for the entirety of the event.

I require special accommodations. How can I let you know? We have included a place to list any dietary restrictions or special accommodations on the RSVP form. Additionally, Pack’s Tavern has an elevator that will take you to the Century Room, if there is a concern for the stairs.

Our Story

Addie and Ross met at work.

Addie was a new grad, excited to start her new user experience design job at USAA. Ross had already worked as a developer at USAA for over a year on a parallel team to Addie, and was enjoying breakfast with his coworkers when Addie asked to join them. Addie tried to talk to Ross during this first run-in, but he never actually responded to her, so she ended up spending the meal chatting with his friends.

Ross’s coworkers had relentlessly teased him for being single, but as soon as Addie was out of earshot, they all agreed: “I think we just found Ross a girlfriend.”

After that day, Ross found any excuse he could to spend time with Addie. He even went out looking for her favorite book, just so he could text her and say he “happened” to find it. After what seemed like a short seven months to Addie, but what Ross still relays as one of the more grueling experiences of his life, Addie and Ross had their first date: a home-cooked meal by Ross and a Wes Anderson film. The rest, as they say, is history.
